Mavis Tutorial Centre, established in 1986, operates 17 branches across Singapore. Mavis was known for its excellent brand presence in the very beginning, but when it came to some non-branding keywords, their website was not getting visibility in search results as expected. The traffic was mostly from branded keywords only.
Our motive for this project was to expand the reach of this brand by making smart strategies to target non-branded keywords, along with some location-specific ones. We focus on strengthening the domain authority of the website to boost organic traffic, leading to remarkable growth and improving the brand’s value across the digital arena.
For the primary tuition projects like PSLE, Secondary, or JC Levels, Mavis did not have dedicated website pages. Although it was operating tuition programs for different subjects like Chinese, Science, English, and Math. Their aim was to rank for keywords for each program. Above all, the website had multiple plugins, which may be one of the reasons for the issues during updates. This allowed us to create a new design, structure, and pages.
At first, we restructured the menu navigation system of the website. This significantly improved the user experience. Besides this, 40 new web pages were added for their primary programs, following Google’s EEAT guidelines and the latest updates. Once this was done, the overall performance of the website improved significantly.
For blogging, a thorough competitor analysis was carried out. This was done to assess what topics and winning strategies they were using. Based on our findings, a strategic content plan was created, which included 2 to 6 new blog posts monthly. Moreover, old blogs were also updated, improving their readability and SEO performance. Each blog was created on relevant topics and using target keywords. This strengthened online visibility and engagement.
Now, Mavis’ website had multiple webpages and subdomains; hence, it was important to do a technical audit regularly. So, we implemented thorough technical audits using top tools like SEMrush and Screaming Frog. The aim here was to ensure the smooth functioning of the website by eliminating the chances of any slow-loading pages and broken backlinks, as they can negatively affect its SEO performance.
Our goal was to ensure that the website follows Google’s EEAT framework, emphasizing Expertise, Experience, Authority, and Trustworthiness. Besides this, a strong high-authority link-building strategy was also implemented, ensuring it meets Google’s primary ranking criteria in Singapore.
Started with thorough keyword research and grouping 150+ keywords. Developed 50+ SEO-optimized webpages and new URLs for Google. Link-building was our priority from day-1 to improve domain credibility.
