Amity Global Institute, a name that everyone remembers these days, was stuck with low online visibility on Google when we took this project. The institute was unable to rank for its key programs and discipline-related keywords. As a result, they were not getting high-quality leads. I was eager to understand the reason for their below-par SEO performance and improve it significantly, leveraging my 14+ years of experience in Edtech SEO. My goal was to upgrade Google rankings, increase valuable lead generation, and drive new enrollments. Here’s how I shaped this project successfully.
There were several significant issues in Amity’s website when I took over this project for SEO and Google Ads:
The website’s WordPress version was outdated and had numerous unused plugins. This was causing technical SEO issues while diminishing the overall performance of the website.
One of the reasons for the website’s slow loading speed was its inefficient hosting server. Moreover, the poor structure was complementing its server, resulting in a bad user experience and search engine rankings.
Another challenge we encountered was the website’s poor technical SEO. Broken links, 404 error pages, missing metadata, complex URL structure, and .htaccess issues were negatively affecting the website’s potential for organic growth.
Regarding high-traffic keywords, Amity was facing challenges to get visibility; as a result, the website was not able to grab the attention of the target audience and get important engagement.
With a customized result-oriented digital marketing strategy, I improved SEO performance, fixed technical problems, and restructured the website, giving it a new, user-friendly look. Here’s the process I followed:
First things first. It was important to change the hosting server to a high-performance one to improve its loading speed and security. Later, the structure and design of the website were revamped to improve user experience, mobile-friendliness, navigation, and other Google parameters.
After thorough technical SEO audit of the website, I identified and rectified the errors, that included, broken links, crawl errors, and duplicated content. Meta tags were added, and site architecture was improved significantly to enhance search engine visibility. Additionally, new URL content and interlinks were created to optimize the website and improve page loading times.
The next thing was to identify high-intent keywords searched the most by students and parents for courses. Besides this, program-specific keyword-rich landing pages were formed to attract genuine traffic. To improve visibility, rankings, and engagement, I also implemented a tailored content marketing strategy that included blogs and articles.
To enhance the website’s authority and credibility, it was necessary to source high-quality backlinks from top educational and relevant industry websites. Implementing effective internal linking strategies was also a great move that improved site’s navigation. Moreover, I organized a press release on Asian news websites to support the link-building campaign, aligning with the SEO tactics that helped us achieve our goals.
I successfully planned and executed high-performing Google Ads campaigns focusing on students pursuing Diploma, MBA, and Master of Science programs in Singapore.
Above all, optimizing Ad copies and landing pages, and periodically tracking conversions were the keys to significantly enhancing return on investment (ROI). The results were impressive when it came to conversion rate. My campaigns maintained all conversions at 29%, with an effective click-through rate (CTR) of 6%.
